Directing
Two things make a film great:
1) Fascinating characters that we care about
2) A story that takes both the characters and us through an emotional journey
Many filmmakers believe that if they make a movie, the audience owes it to them to watch. I believe the opposite, that we owe the audience for the time and admission they paid to see our films. And thus, I believe that it is our obligation to suck viewers out of their reality, into our world on screen, and hold them there, fascinated, until we drop them back into their chairs when the credits roll.
The most important way we repay the audience is through emotion. A film is a medium of feelings. The feelings vary from genre to genre of course... cheer the good guy, boo the bad guy, fall for the heartthrob, lust after the seductress, laugh at the buffoon, cry at the heartbreak... A film only truly fails if the audience feels nothing.
I’ve studied at both Brock University in Ontario and Simon Fraser University in BC. I’ve directed numerous short films, short documentaries, commercial projects, as well as 3 television pilots.
Hire me as your director... your audience will feel.
Cinematographer/Videographer
I love shooting. Even though I produce and direct, I’m always happy when I have a camera in my hand and am right at the point of capturing the action. I shoot freelance videography and cinematography between projects, and consider all offers.
What camera do I use? It always comes up. De Niro said it best in the movie Ronin: "Well, you know, it's a toolbox, I don't care. You put the tools in and do the job, that's all."
I can’t say it better than that. I have a toolbox of cameras, from a shoulder mount ENG style cameras for live work, to a digital35mm camera and prime lenses for cinematic work.
In my 10 years of experience, I’ve shot everything from motorcycle racing in the desert, to diamond mining in the arctic, to major even videos with crowds of 1000’s, to a full length feature film. Name it... it’s been through my lens.

Video Production
The right video will make you money.
Video is an extremely versatile business tool, and something that almost everyone can use to increase their profits. I specialize in finding opportunities in your business or even just your personal skill set, and using video to build you new and lasting revenue streams.
Here are some of the ways a video can help you tap into new profits:
- Reach a huge internet base through viral internet videos (free advertising!)
- Duplicate seminar/workshop sales by creating a sellable library of your work
- Expand event/sports videos by selling a video of the day
- Create instructional videos that teach 1000’s the skills you normally teach to a few
- Create training videos that save you or your company a fortune in training time
In my 10 years of experience in video production I have produced over 14 different feature length products, from sports to events to seminars, plus over 30 other projects of all sizes ranging from Youtube viral videos to television pilots. I am backed up by a production team of ex-film industry people, who now work independently.
In addition to producing your video, we can carry it through to distribution, from duplication, integrated internet shopping carts and payment systems, and automatic shipping.
